Welcome
I heartily welcome you to my homepage. I have joined Architecture and Performance Group (APG) at ORNL as a Research Scientist in 2021. My research primarily focuses on Memory Systems in High Performance Computing, including performance analysis, optimization of memory sub-systems, analysis of novel and emerging memory technologies. Prior to this, I worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), Spain.
I received Ph.D in Computer Architecture from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain (2019); Master in Electronic Design from Lund University, Sweden (2013) and Bachelor in Computer Engineering from North South University, Bangladesh (2008). I also worked for a year on IT systems at Shimizu Densetsu Kogyo Co. Ltd (SEAVAC), Japan.
Besides professional endevours, I am significantly interested in Traveling and Photography.
Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Spain
Worked at the Computer Architecture and Operating Systems (CAOS) group of the center. Previously worked with the Memory systems team of Heterogeneous Computer Architecture (HCA) group. This specialized research center houses one of Europe´s most powerful supercomputers.
Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya, Spain
Completed PhD in Computer Architecture, with a concentration on Memory Systems . The research focused on analyzing the suitability of a novel memory technology for HPC and real-time systems in terms of Performance and power consumption.
Lund University, Sweden
Completed Master's Degree in Electronic Design from this top-ranked European university. Degree concentration was in Embedded Systems and Digital IC Design along with Courses in DSP, Analog IC Design, AD Converters, Intellectual Property Right Management.
SEAVAC, Japan
Worked one year for this company from 2008 to 2009. Responsibilties included front end software application development in C# and .Net, EsTerra XML Stroage Server Management, deploying & maintaining E-Learning system on Linux Servers.
North South University, Bangladesh
Completed Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering from this leading educational institution. Courses included Data Structures, Software Engineering, Database Design, Robotics, VLSI Design, Computer organization and Design, Digital Logic, Computer Architecture, Calculus & Analytic Geometry.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee, USA
Currently working as a Research Scientist with the Advanced Computing Systems Research Section at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). ORNL is the largest federally funded research and development center under Department of Energy (DOE), and one of the historical sites of the Manhattan Project that produced the first nuclear weapon. Present day ORNL is a pioneer in Supercomputing Research and houses one of the fastest Supercomputers in the world.
